After many rounds of revision, the manuscript of Asa James is going to be born into a BOOK. Koehler Books has given us a home. Go Asa. Go Jodi. We’re getting out into the big bad world!
I’m pleased with so many things about Koehler Books. First is that they’re different. They’re an independent press that does things its own way, which is something I respect. Second, they are fully transparent about how they do things, another thing I respect. Third, they have gorgeous book covers and a clever process for having people vote between the final two designs for each book. Fourth, they do lots of coaching around marketing and promotion, all of which I appreciate.
Most important of all, though, is how they love Asa James and believe it will find its readers. This makes me happy happy happy. I have no illusions it will fly right off the shelf, but I know it has readers and we’re together committed to finding them.
